COMPONENTS OF THE HUET FACILITYThe HUET Facility is designed based on the international
standards & OPITO criterion for the personnel who regularly travel by
helicopter to provide/ensure the skills and knowledge of what to do in an
emergency situation where there is a need to exit a ditched helicopter and survive
at sea. For the purpose built, contemporary facility includes various distinct training capabilities to enable discrete trainings including the components:
| |
REALISTIC TRAINING CAPABILITYFor the execution of realistic trainings the environmental
conditions like weather, sea-state, day/night time, sound are simulated. The
platforms for the simulation of rescue from helicopter, landing with parachute,
and ship’s deck are providing a complete training capability. | |
REALISTIC CONDITIONS IAW INTERNATIONAL STANDARDSThe Trainer consists of a helicopter mock-up with movable exits/windows,
that can be controlable ditched into the pool and able to rotate in both
directions up to 180 degrees. The trainees are expected to exit from the
ditched mock-up making use of Emergency Breathing System (EBS), and rescued
from the helicopter’s cabin simulated platform above the pool.In the facility
including the pool there are systems to simulate real environment like wave
generator, daytime/night differentiation, wind and sea state effects. It
provides required means for the OPITO certified trainings of the crew. |
